Our Community

At Dreamtime Equipment Supply we are committed to supporting Indigenous community organisations and people. Every year funds are allocated towards Indigenous community initiatives that help advance the health, wellbeing and economy of Indigenous Australians.

Our Community Partner – Ganggalah

Ganggalah is an Indigenous organisation based at Tweed Heads, NSW and it comprises Ganggalah Church, Ganggalah Training Centre, and Ganggalah Aboriginal Arts Centre. Ganggalah means ‘a place of wisdom and learning’ and that is what they are passionate about.
Ganggalah has two main objectives; the first is the training and development of Indigenous leaders across every area of community, and the second is to educate and raise the awareness amongst the wider Australian population of the history, challenges and achievements of our First Nation people.

Every year Ganggalah take teams to Arnhem Land in Northern Territory to experience what life is like in these remote communities. By engaging with the people of these communities, team members receive a real understanding and appreciation for our First Nation people.

The Ganggalah Training Centre is committed to training and equipping Indigenous Australians and offers both Diploma and Certificate IV level courses at its location in Tweed Heads, NSW. There are also currently plans underway to open another centre in the Northern Territory.

With art being such an important aspect of Australia’s Indigenous culture, the Ganggalah Aboriginal Arts Centre aims to encourage and showcase local Indigenous artists from across Australia. For example, Ray Smith who is an artist from Awabakal country. Ray’s art is in demand and he has created artworks for hospitals, schools, community centres and churches.
